MSW Intern Clinician

About Me

I am in the final stage of my Master of Social Work program and look forward to dedicating my career to helping individuals and communities thrive. My passion for supporting others has guided me into the field of therapy, and I am excited to bring my skills and dedication to the clients I work with.

Education & Training

I am completing my MSW at Western New Mexico University, where my studies have focused on school social work and psychotherapy practice. Alongside my academic work, I have gained experience as a mentor and residential program counselor for children and adolescents, as well as in case management for underserved families. As part of my training at Changing Sails Therapy, I work under the supervision of licensed clinicians to ensure clients receive the highest quality care.

My Approach

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel truly heard and supported. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions freely. Using empathy, active listening, and curiosity, I aim to help clients deepen their self-understanding and find meaningful ways to navigate life’s challenges.

Specialties

I am especially interested in working with adolescents and adults navigating mood and anxiety concerns, acute stress, and life transitions. I strive to provide a safe and affirming space where clients of all identities feel seen and valued. My work is grounded in a DEI focus, welcoming LGBTQ+ individuals as well as those facing challenges related to race, culture, socioeconomic barriers, and other aspects of identity and belonging.

Personal Interests

Outside of my training, I enjoy reading, gaming, and spending time with my husband and toddler.
